Join the Stearns History Museum and the Minnesota Military Museum as we host "At War and At Home - The WWII Experience." This is a living history event taking place June 14, 15, 2019. The museum grounds will be transformed back to 1945 - complete with authentic military encampments and equipment. See what life was like for the soldier of WWII and visit with reenactors who portray US Army, Navy and Marine Corps personnel. See the difference between the European and Pacific Theaters, and watch equipment and tactical demonstrations.

We will also transform our plaza into the American Home Front. There you will find programs and activities depicting how important those who stayed on American soil during the war were in securing victory for the Allied troops fighting overseas. Kids can try our Army obstacle course, crack codes, and secure metal during our museum scrap drive! Adult programming will include featured discussions about cooking on rations, victory gardens, and more.
