Research Center

Whether your research is casual, personal or scholarly, you will find many resources in the Research Center. The Center contains maps, newspapers, genealogical files, oral history tapes and over 500,000 photographic images. The Research Center specializes in Luxembourg and German genealogical materials as well as Stearns County granite and dairy industries, sports, historic preservation and architectural information.

Research Requests

Didn't find what you were looking for on the Research Center Catalog? Request research from our staff! We would be happy to do some searching for you! We can search for obituaries, death certificates, birth certificates, census records, newspaper articles, marriage licenses, plat maps, and more! See all of our available resources here.

Research can be ordered in 30 minute increments here. When you order research online, please also send an email with your research request to: info@stearns-museum.org. If you'd like to email us first, and we can give you an estimate on how long your research request might take.

Over 500,000 Photographs

The Stearns History Museum has over 500,000 images in its collections. Search the Research Center Catalog to find individually cataloged photos.

Minnesota Digital Library

The Minnesota Digital Library has over 37,000 unique photographs and images, maps, journals, documents, letters and works of art. The Minnesota Digital Library project, Minnesota Reflections, has collected the information on these images, and created a searchable database to help people access and use them. http://www.mndigital.org
