St. Cloud Area Genealogists

We are a non-profit organization that strives to make your family history research an enriching and rewarding experience.  Our monthly meetings include guest speakers who provide educational presentations to teach ways to prepare a research plan, how to evaluate evidence, techniques to discover online and non-digitized resources, and so much more.

Our premier organization is for everyone from the beginner to the most advanced family historian.  Our members research their ancestors from varying locations within Minnesota, throughout the United States, and from foreign countries.

Whether you have Minnesota connections or not, we invite you to join us in pursuit of your family history.  Joining our organization is a great way to propel your research forward and for connecting with a network of people who share your interest in family history.

The St. Cloud Area Genealogists meet the third Tuesday of the month - January - May and September - November at the Stearns History Museum.  Meetings start at 7:00 pm.

For more information, contact St. Cloud Area Genealogists Librarian Dan Schroeder at gancho3@msn.com or (320) 685-3629.

Cousin Research – Solve Brick Walls

Brick walls can be so frustrating!  Trying new avenues of research can be intimidating and exciting.   Many family historians are only interested in their direct family line of ancestors.  Come find out how stretching out beyond the direct family could solve your brick wall and have some exciting discoveries.  Brick walls are not just about the past, it can be in today’s generations.  Pat has several intriguing stories to share and the processes used in new discoveries.

Join Patricia Quinn and the St. Cloud Area Genealogist for an evening discovering or taking a fresh look at ways to solve brick walls in your family research.   Take a look at Cousin Research.  You can revive your research in a new way. Pat is a member of our Board of Directors as well as a charter member of the Morrison County Genealogical Society.   She has been actively researching family history for over thirty years.
